Cindi Alpert and the Corduroy Jazz Trio are more than just a Jazz Band. They play everything from Jazz, Blues and Standards to Folk, Funk and Latin music. You’ll hear favorites from the Sinatra era to more contemporary artists like James Taylor, Van Morrison and Adele. Since these are Jazz musicians, you’ll probably never hear the same song played exactly the same way. You may hear Gershwin’s “Summertime” to a Latin groove or even Dylan’s “Wagon Wheel” played to a reggae beat. Cindi Alpert, the lead vocalist, has been singing since a very young age. She has performed National Anthems for several professional sports teams including the Miami Heat, The Boston Red Sox and The Knoxville Ice Bears. Cindi is a graduate of The Ohio State University and has been performing professionally since college. The Corduroy Jazz Trio includes Martin Hodge on drums, Wes Lunsford on guitar and Daniel Brown on bass. All three players are accomplished musicians and graduates of the University of Tennessee Jazz Program. You can catch Cindi Alpert and the Corduroy Jazz Trio regularly at The Orangery or Chez Liberty and out and about town at Knoxville’s swankiest music venues.
